Supply & Operations Specialist
$20-25 per hour depending on experience and skill-set. Full-time position: 40 hours per week, on-site (no hybrid or work-from-home).

The Job
The Supply and Operations Specialist plays a vital role in keeping our product flow running smoothly, our operations efficient and our customers happy. This position works closely with the Operations Manager to support daily operations including warehouse management, purchasing replenishment, fulfillment, receiving, and quality control.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment, enjoys solving problems, values accuracy, and takes pride in keeping operations efficient and organized.
Key Responsibilities
Supply & Purchasing: 30%
- Assist with creating purchase orders (POs), securing approvals, placing orders, and troubleshooting supplier issues.
- Track purchase orders from placement through delivery, ensuring accurate records of order and arrival dates.
- Help maintain adequate inventory levels to support sales and fulfillment needs.
- Maintain the Kanban inventory system - this is our replenishment system to keep items in stock while running lean.
Operations & Warehouse Management: 30%
- Assist the Operations Manager with day-to-day warehouse operations, process optimization, and continuous quality improvement.
- Troubleshoot operational issues, problem-solve in real time, and proactively identify opportunities for efficiency gains.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment. Support inventory organization, layout planning, and space optimization.
- Manage all inbound shipments by counting and verifying stock, while doing regular cycle counts to ensure 100% inventory accuracy.
Continuous Improvement: 20%
- Partner with Operations Manager to prioritize continuous improvement projects.
- Document current state, design process changes and implement with cross-functional team members.
- Document standard operating procedures (SOPs) and develop the system to keep SOPs up to date.
- Practice 5S methods for process development and improvement.
Amazon Fulfillment Oversight: 10%
- Monitor inventory levels and replenish as needed.
- Responsible for Amazon vendor portal management and associated activities.
- Ensure timely, complete shipping into Amazon facilities and remove barriers as needed.
Fulfillment (acting as backup to Fulfillment Specialist or for special projects): 10%
- Pick, pack and ship orders with accuracy and efficiency
- Perform quality control on pocket knives and other products to maintain high standards and sell the customer the best product possible.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience in supply planning, purchasing, warehouse operations, inventory management, or logistics.
- Data driven: Uses analytics and data to drive decision making
- Detail-oriented: Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality.
- Highly organized: Ability to maintain structured, efficient systems and workspaces.
- Proactive: Self-motivated with the ability to anticipate needs and take initiative.
- Loves accuracy: Takes pride in precise counts, clean processes, and error-free execution.
- Efficient: Works productively while maintaining a high standard of quality.
- Continuously improving: Constantly seeking better, faster, and more effective ways to work.
Nice-to-haves:
- Interest in pocket knives and the mechanics of the tool
- Familiarity with inventory systems, Kanban systems, or warehouse management software.
- Experience with order fulfillment, shipping platforms, or Amazon Seller Central.
- Experience operating light production equipment (laser engravers, 3D printers, etc.).
